HOW TO USE
17 x 11 SHEET PROTECTORS
A double letter size format 17x11 may be the perfect size for drawings in all genre. This may be for artistic drawing or for work related drawing applications where a printer most likely would be used.
Nowadays, most larger printers and copy machines accept the 17x11 ledger format. However the reality is that it is being used to a much lesser extent than expected. Due to the fact that the need is not there or perhaps rather people don't think too much about it and choose to use another but smaller size document format already at hand. In addition some artists prefer to use different formats than the standard found in the office environments. It may be to standout from the crowd so to speak or simply because they feel there are other formats that are better when expressing their artistic values.
The landscape or horizontal side insert 11x17 sheet protectors as discussed here, got the advantage that it it can be used in several different ways:
- As a normal panoramic 11x17 ledger sheet protector as most often presented in a ledger binder.
- It can be used as a hanging presentation page. Hung on a mini hook as shown below.
(Note: The 11 x 8.5 Landscape protector was used to demonstrate the 'hanging' function. The same applies to the 17 x 11 landscape side open protector)
When using the product as presented above the 17x11 sheet protectors protect the document from wear and tear but most important provides the poster with a hang-hole. Had the poster been punched with a hole puncher it would not last long if printed on standard 80 Lb paper or even light cardboard. The polypropylene plastic is rigged and can take a good amount of weight (of course limited to the usage with paper).
